Sacred Space 3.5 {GNU Space}
The GNU Team did an incredible job of getting inspired by our current series of "Sacred Space". This week we didn't meet at Jammin Java ... instead, this is the one weekend per month that we intentionally set aside for extending the heart of our church outward and trying to bring a little of God's kingdom into the lives of our friends.
We gathered Saturday, the 26th, from 1 - 5pm for an afternoon of fun with the children of some friends of ours (some of whom we've gotten to know through previous service-worship projects) while the parents get a chance to take the afternoon off. We had organized activities (crafts, games, and snack-making) planned for the kids. And we had a blast!
Just check out these pictures!

Sacred Space 3 {Temporal Space}
The [Funk] is in the Space:
Psalm 46: 10 "Be still, and know that I am God"
Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of rest dedicated to the Lord your God. On that day no one in your household may do any work. This includes you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, your livestock, and any foreigners living among you.
For in six days the Lord made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and everything in them; but on the seventh day he rested. That is why the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy.
