This week is another of our collaborative ‘Radiolab’ services– one where we have many voices speaking about one topic from a variety of perspectives (artistic, academic, everyday, etc.) and with a variety of media (music, media, graphic art, words, etc.).
So what is that topic, you ask? Well fortunately our Radiolab guru Pete has a pithy call for content:
The Gospel at the Abyss
- it’s about finding the gospel at the end.
- it’s about the rocks crying out.
- it’s about nothing making sense.
- it’s about redemption.
- it’s about fighting for life.
Now the fun of this is that neither you nor I nor even (especially?) Pete has any idea of what will happen on Sunday. If you’ve got something to share, sign up. Otherwise, come to Jammin’ Java at 10am and see what unexpected goodness gets woven together.
Speaking of fun, in a couple of weeks we will be enjoying some at our annual retreat. We’ll be a couple of hours away at Shrine Mont for Labor Day weekend, and if you are reading this, you are more than welcome to come. We’d need to hear from you pretty quickly, though. But be warned: unlike most ‘retreats’, ours are not full of speakers and activities and busyness and business– we just do very little. ie, we actually retreat from life. If that sounds like a retreat you can get behind, then you should get on your behind to the retreat.
Hope to see you soon,
