On the Table – September 23rd through 30th

Hey church,

Remember last week, when I noted that we would be faced with a quandary regarding Saturday evening activities, with three options competing for our attention? Have you been waiting, biting your nails, to find out what happened with that? Well, now is the time of revelation.

We did what we always do when faced with a tension between good things. We declined to resolve it.

So:

This Saturday, September 29th, at 7pm, In the Year of our Lord 2012, the Bill Murray Film Festival of Love cordially invites you to a viewing of The Fantastic Mr. Fox at the home of Mr. James Vroom and Dr. Karen Win-Vroom. Contact us if you want to join in.
We also cordially invite you to view this Very Cool Link: http://niegeborges.com/Bill-Wearing-Socks
And a few of us will be going to this book signing with the inimitable Phyllis Tickle at 5pm on Saturday in DC.
And! There may be a couple Commoners who opt for Opera in the Outfield at Nats Stadium.
And on Sunday – NO gathering at Jammin’ Java in the morning, but a bunch of us will probably go to a Taize service at Church of the Holy Comforter in Vienna at 5pm.
And that’s it for this weekend. Next weekend – back to Java!
Peace,
Mike Croghan
